Spiritually uplifting in the sense that the amount involved, one thousand eight dollars and forty two cents [$1,008.42]; was raised from birthday penny offerings through several years; and that out of numerous deserving recipients of such birthday offerings, St. Mary's School of Sagada came out the blessed choice.

Challenging in the sense that if a substantial sum was raised from penny offerings by folks with mainly modest income, who have not even visited St. Mary's School, Sagada, there is no rhyme or reason why each SMSS graduating Class [or the Sagada Community, or an association/congregation of SMSS alumni and friends] could not do likewise or better.
