Opening Hymn
Hymn 433: WE GATHER TOGETHER TO THE LORD’S BLESSING
The Invitatory and Psalter
Officiant:
Let my prayer be set forth in thy sight as the incense; and let the
lifting of my hands be an evening sacrifice.
O Lord,
open thou our lips.
People:
And our mouth shall show forth thy praise.
Officiant: Glory
be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
People:
As it was in the
beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.
Then
Follows
Psalm 96 Cantale Domino
1
O sing unto the Lord a
new song; sing unto the Lord, all the whole earth.
2
Sing unto the Lord, and
praised his Name; be telling of his salvation
from day to day.
3
Declare his honour unto
the heathen, and his wonders unto all peoples.
4
For the Lord is great,
and cannot worthily be praised, he is more to
be feared than all gods.
5
As for the gods of the
heathen , they are but idols; but it is the Lord
that made the heaven.
6
Glory and worship are
before him; power and honour are in his sanctuary.
7
Ascribe unto the Lord, O
ye kindreds of the peoples, ascribe unto the
Lord worship and power.
8
Ascribe unto the Lord the
honor due his Name, bring presents, and
come into His courts.
9
O worship the Lord in the
beauty of holiness, let the whole earth stand
in awe of him.
10
Tell it out among
the heathen, that the Lord is King, and that it is he who
hath made the round world so fast that it cannot be moved,
and how that
he shall judge the peoples righteously.
11 Let the heavens rejoice,
and let the earth be glad; and let the sea make
nose, and all that
therein is.
12 Let the field be joyful,
and all that is in it; then shall all the trees of the wood
rejoice
before the Lord.
13 For he cometh, for he
cometh to judge the earth; and with righteousness to judge the world,
and the peoples with his truth.
Glory be to the Father, and to
the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and
ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

THE
SONG OF MARY: MAGNIFICAT
(Luke
1:46-55)
My soul doth magnify the Lord, *
and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
For he hath regarded * the lowliness of his handmaiden.
For behold, from henceforth * all generations shall call me blessed.
For he that is mighty hath magnified me; * and holy is his Name.
And his mercy is on them that fear him * throughout all generations.
He hath showed strength with his arm; * he hath scattered the proud in
the imagination of their hearths.
He hath put down the mighty from their seat, * and hath exalted the
humble and meek.
He hath filled the hungry with
good things; * and the rich he hath sent empty away.
He remembering his mercy hath holpen his servant Israel; * as he
promised to our forefathers, Abraham and his seed, for ever.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was
in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
THE APOSTLES’ CREED
Officiant and People together, all standing
I believe in God the Father
Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And of all things visible and
invisible:
And in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the only-begotten Son of God, Begotten of his Father before all the
worlds, God of God, Light of Light , Very God of very God; Begotten not
made; Being of one substance with the Father: By whom all things were
made. Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven , and
was incarnate by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary, And was made man:
And was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was
buried: And the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures:
And ascended into heaven, And sitteth on the right hand of the Father:
And he shall come again, with glory, to judge both the quick and the
dead; Whose kingdom shall have no end.
And I believe in the Holy Ghost,
The Lord, and Giver of Life, Who proceeded from the Father and the Son;
Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified;
Who spake by the Prophets: And I believe one catholic and Apostolic
Church: I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins. And I look
for the Resurrection of the dead: And the Life of the world to come.
Amen.
The Prayers
Officiant:
The Lord be with you.
People:

And make thy chosen people
joyful.
O Lord, save the thy people.
And bless thine inheritance.
Give peace in our time, O Lord.
For it is thou, Lord, only
that makest us in safety.

within us.
And take not thy Holy Spirit
from us.

O God, from whom all holy
desires, all good counsels, and all just works do proceed; Give unto thy
