Learning Excellence.  Students and teachers supervised by world renowned teacher Dr. Josette Biyo experience the fun side of learning at Saint Mary’s School, Sagada,  Mountain Province, Philippines. Attended by 43 teachers and 41 students, the workshop is part of on-going efforts by St. Mary’s School of Sagada to improve education quality for its students. The three-day Institute was an intensive, hands-on and interactive training focusing on the best teaching strategies used by the Philippine Science High School Western Visayas Campus faculty headed by Dr. Biyo, the first Asian to win the Intel Excellence in Teaching award. The landmark event was championed  by  Rufino Bomasang, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of St. Mary’s School, Sagada, Inc., and sponsored by Philippine Geothermal, Inc. (PGI), as part of its Corporate Responsibility program and commitment to education. Other sponsors include Petron, Pfizer and Philamlife. The workshop coincided with the Centennial Year of Christian Education in Sagada.
