Dear Lambert/Chiqui,

1.Otto Energy through its Philippine subsidiary, NorAsian Energy, has fully paid its 150,000 peso commitment for 2008-2009.

2.Class 58 had fully paid its $3000 yearly commitments for 2006-2007 and 2007-2008.

3.Class 58 has no commitments for 2008-2009, but made a commitment for 2009-2010 and has already advanced around 28,000 pesos against its commitment for 2009-2010.

Have a good day.

Rufino

Folks,

With the latest payments on "Sponsor A Faculty Chair" [SAFC] pledges, hereunder is the latest SAFC Pledges/Payments Update as per my notes. I would appreciate very much hearing any corrections, errors or omissions on the hereunder table presentation. Would like to hear in particular from Chiqui, manang Inez, current pledgers and new pledgers.

As I mentioned in an earlier email on this subject matter, the hereunder notes are only for planning or implementing follow ups and/or promotional efforts [including "Thank You" notes] towards helping realize the Faculty Chair Sponsorship Project of SMSS. This is also in consonance to our "open-to-the public" reporting of donations pledged/received.

Actual payments on the SAFC project are as reported by Chiqui [SMSSI Treasurer] and manang Inez SMSSAFF Treasurer].

For those who want to surf  the particular page in the SMSSAFF website, the URL is:

Dear Chiqui,

Thanks for the info.

I am pleased to inform you that I just deposited today 150,000 pesos to the new account of SMSSI representing the second year personal contribution of Mr. Rick Grabb, Chairman of Otto Energy, an Australian oil and gas company exploring worldwide, but focusing on the Philippines.  This company wholly owns NorAsian Energy, of which I am Chairman, and which will also be sending its second 150,000 commitment to the SMS faculty sponsorship program in the next few days. As you have already acknowledged, Mr. Kris Fellowes of MEPS has already sent his second year contribution to the program.

As I have repeatedly stated, these people have nothing at stake whatsoever in SMS (i.e.they are not from Sagada and are neither Igorots nor Episcopalians), but they share our vision of making SMS a quality institution, as expressed in the attached letter from Rick.Crabb. I would therefore appreciate if SMS through Dennis can send the appropriate thank you letter to Rick Crabb and Kris Fellowes.

By copy of this email, I would also appreciate if the Presidents of SMSAA and SMSSAFF would send similar thank you letters, or emails, to Rick Crabb and Kris Fellowes. Rick's address is indicated in the attached letter while Kris Fellows can be emailed at kristofferfellowes@yahoo.com.au.

As Chairman of SMSSI, I have thanked them already, but I happen to work with them and I think it will be much better if their contributions are also appreciated by other SMS organizations.

Have a good day.

The new account number of SMSS PNB Peso Account is 188689000029. Please
use this account number for your remittances to SMSS peso account.

Thank you,

Chiqui

The two Filipino Faculty Chair Sponsorships of Rick Crabb and Otto Energy for SY 2007-2008 was fully paid as per SAFC Update for SY 2007-2008 by Chiqui Sayawen.

October 24, 2007,

Mr. Rick Crabb
Chairman
Otto Energy Limited
16 Thelma Street, West Perth 6005
Western Australia

Dear Rick,

In behalf of the Board of Trustees of St. Marys School of Sagada, Inc., the school administration, the faculty, and the alumni,, I wish to thank you very much for  approving my request for Otto Energy Limited to sponsor a faculty member for the next three years at 150,000 Philippine pesos a year and for agreeing to personally sponsor another faculty member for the same amount and duration.

These two sponsorships, together with that of Middle East Petroleum Services and my own personal sponsorship, undoubtedly enables our group to make a difference in the lives of indigenous people in Northern Luzon.

As agreed with Mr. Kris Fellowes, NorAsian Manila office will take care of remitting Ottos contribution directly to SMSS. If you wish, ikt can also do the same for your own personal contribution and you can then pay Otto. However, should you prefer to remit it directly, you can have it sent to the Philippine peso savings account of St. Marys School of Sagada, Inc. (S/A No. 6505367195) at Philippine National Bank, Bontoc Branch in  Bontoc, Mountain Province, Philippines

I hope you can find time in one of your future trips to the Philippines to visit Sagada and St. Marys School and I will be pleased to accompany you.

Sincerely yours,

Rufino B. Bomasang

Chairman, Board of Trustees
