A RESOLUTION TO NAME THE ST. MARY’S SCHOOL OF SAGADA
SCIENCE LABORATORIES FOR BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY AND PHYSICS  “THE DR JOHN AND JOSEPHINE ALIPIT SCIENCE LABORATORIES”  OR  “THE J & J ALIPIT SCIENCE LABORATORIES”

WHEREAS, Dr. John Alipit and his wife Josephine, took upon themselves the burden of generating the funds needed to construct, renovate and/or equip the St. Mary’s School science laboratories for biology, chemistry and physics costing  700,000.00 Philippine Pesos [or US$12,730.00] as called for in the St. Mary’s School of Sagada’s Five-Year Strategic Plan,

WHEREAS, the magnitude of the amount and the fact that Dr. John Alipit and his wife Josephine had to come out with the amount in installments are indicative of great personal sacrifices from the couple,

WHEREAS, some classrooms which were recently renovated or constructed have been named, or planned to be named, in honor of whoever the donor of the renovation or construction cost wish the newly renovated or constructed classroom be named after,

WHEREAS, this is in consonance with our desire to encourage other prospective donors to likewise donate to other St. Mary’s School of Sagada projects as defined in the SMSS five-year strategic  plan or  other projects that may come up later to help realize the vision and mission of the school,

HENCE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the St. Mary’s School science laboratories be named “The Dr. John and Josephine Alipit Science Laboratories” or “The J & J Science Labs” for short.

RESOLVED FURTHER that a copy of this resolution be conveyed to the St. Mary’s School of Sagada, Inc. (SMSSI) Authorities and to the St. Mary’s School Principal for consideration and/or implementation.
