Rosary on the Mountain
Introduction: “The Rosary on the
Mountain” is a form of devotion at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin,
Sagada, Mountain Province, Philippines. The texts are derived from the
Ten Commandments, John 3:16, and the Gloria Patri. The Cantor chants the
Ten Commandments followed by the singing of the text from John 3:16 by
the congregation and all joining in the singing of the Gloria Patri.
1. Ma-ed tek-teken es Dios mo no
de sak-en.
Congregation: Si Apo Dios
palalo san layad na. Es-nan am-in ay ipugao. Siya san nangeba-ana es-san
Anak na. Ta sia’y am-in ay mam-mati ken siya. Adi da kat-katey no de
matago- tago da. “God so loved the world that He gave His one and
only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have
everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

tenag-tago es daydayawem ay dios.

All: Glore-ya es-nan Dios Ama,
Dios Anak, Dios Esperito Santo. Siya san lug-yana ya siya id wani ya
siya ay ma-id eng-gana. Amen. “Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now, and will be
forever. Amen.”
